Power BI Developer for Business Intelligence MVP
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
We are looking for a Power BI Developer / Data Engineer to join a team focused on implementing a Business Intelligence system for data management and visualization.
The role involves delivering an MVP within 30 days, including:
- Building a dynamic Excel deliverable that updates automatically from multiple data sources.
- Developing interactive dashboards in Power BI with key indicators, trends, and dynamic visualizations.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources (Excel, PDF, databases, APIs, and unstructured data).
- Implement a dynamic and automated Excel deliverable as a daily output.
- Develop interactive dashboards in Power BI, including KPIs, charts, and control panels.
- Integrate and standardize data sources to ensure quality, consistency, and traceability.
- Apply AI techniques for preprocessing unstructured data (e.g., extracting information from PDF reports or free text).
- Document processes, data flows, and implemented configurations.
- Collaborate in client feedback sessions and adjust deliverables accordingly.
Technical Requirements
- Proven experience developing with Power BI (dashboards, DAX, data modeling, advanced visualizations).
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration tools.
- Strong command of advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, Power Query, report automation).
- Experience working with Rest APIs and handling data in various formats (JSON, CSV, XML, PDF).
- Knowledge of Python or Node.js for automation and data preprocessing (desirable).
- Experience with Docker for solution deployment (desirable).
- Familiarity with NLP or other AI tools for unstructured data (desirable).
Candidate Profile
- Ability to work under tight deadlines (MVP in 30 days / iterative deliverables).
- Results-oriented, with a focus on early issue detection through KPIs.
- Autonomy and proactivity to propose technical solutions.
- Clear communication and collaborative skills in multidisciplinary teams.
