**Power BI Data Model & ETL Developer - Trucking Operations Analytics**
We are a U.S.-based trucking carrier seeking an experienced Power BI developer to build a production-ready semantic model integrating multiple data sources (McLeod TMS, Fleetrock, Samsara, Tolling systems).
**Project Scope:**
- Build unified Power BI semantic model from McLeod SQL Server + external APIs
- Design star schema with 25+ fact/dimension tables
- Implement ETL pipelines using Power Query (SQL joins, API integrations, data aggregation)
- Recreate 100+ DAX measures for profitability, operations, and fleet analytics
- Optimize for Power BI Pro license
- Deliver comprehensive technical documentation
**Requirements:**
**Advanced Power BI expertise** - semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query M
**SQL Server experience** - complex joins, query optimization
**API integration** - REST APIs, authentication, error handling
**Star schema design** - fact/dimension tables, relationships, cardinality
**Performance optimization** - incremental refresh, query reduction, aggregation strategies
**Trucking/logistics domain knowledge** (preferred but not mandatory)
**Deliverables:**
- Production-ready Power BI model (incremental refresh configured)
- Technical architecture documentation
- ETL logic documentation (SQL queries, M code)
- Data model diagram with relationships
- Admin handover guide
