Power BI Dashboard & Modeling
Budget: $20 – $30 NZD
I’m working with an established client who needs their operational data transformed into clear, insightful dashboards in Power BI. The data currently sits in two places—a SQL database and a collection of Excel sheets—and I’d like a specialist to help me shape a solid data model and craft the visuals.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Build a robust star-schema model that blends the SQL tables and Excel sources
• Design interactive, filter-friendly dashboards in Power BI that surface the operational KPIs my client cares about, with drill-through, tooltips, and polished formatting.
• Package everything in an organised PBIX file, with measures and calculations clearly named so the client’s in-house team can follow, deploy and maintain the solution.
Stage 1 will be a discovery stage where I gather client scope (I am working in this departmnet already so know the stakeholders and their work well) I will create a list of priority KPIs as soon as we start. If you’re comfortable juggling both SQL connections and Excel imports, writing efficient DAX, and delivering a clean visual story, let’s team up. I estimate in Phase 1 discovery you will help craft data model design dashboards (from our spec). +- 5 hours, then stage 2 is execution +- 40 hours. Client is great to deal with (although i will be your client, also great to deal with).
