Optimize Operational Data Models (Power BI)

I need to streamline the operational datasets that feed our current Power BI reports. The main objective is to redesign and optimise the existing data models so refreshes are faster, calculations stay accurate, and maintenance is painless.

You will start by auditing the PBIX in Power BI Desktop, refactoring tables into a clean star schema, and rewriting any expensive DAX measures or calculated columns. Power Query steps must be consolidated and parameterised, with an eye toward incremental refresh and reliability through the on-premises gateway once everything is published to the Power BI Service workspace.

Advanced DAX, solid M language skills, and a working knowledge of SQL objects are crucial because some changes may require tweaks to underlying views or stored procedures. Experience with dimensional modelling, ETL practices, and data-visualisation best practices will help you spot additional performance wins and usability improvements.
