I already have the raw figures for each month on hand, but they’re scattered across multiple worksheets and exports. Your first task will be to tidy everything up in Excel—clean the headers, standardise date formats, and reshape the data so each row represents a single month. Once it’s structured, I need two core metrics calculated and tracked: total revenue and profit margins. Feel free to build pivot tables or add calculated columns if that speeds up the workflow.
With the cleaned dataset ready, move the analysis into Power BI. I want a focused, interactive report that lets me:
• glance at monthly revenue trending over time
• compare profit margins month-by-month
• drill down quickly using slicers for product lines or regions should I decide to expand the scope later
Please deliver the final Excel workbook, the .pbix file, and a brief write-up of any assumptions or transformations you applied. If the visuals refresh correctly and the measures return accurate totals when I drop in new months of data, I’ll consider the project a success.
