Fix Power BI CSV Import

Job ID: 39784298

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

I have a set of procurement data that leaves Excel in a clean-looking CSV, yet the moment I bring it into Power BI the columns adopt the wrong data types and the resulting visuals total up in bizarre ways. Most of the trouble appears to stem from incorrect data formatting during the import step, so I need a seasoned Power BI user who can trace exactly where the type inference is going wrong, correct it, and leave me with a repeatable process.

You will receive:
• The original Excel workbooks and the generated CSV files
• A brief note on the expected field definitions (dates, currency, quantities, text descriptions)
• My current PBIX showing the misbehaving tables and visuals

What I expect back:
• A cleaned PBIX or clear Power Query steps that coerce each column to its proper type
• Any transform scripts or M-code you add, documented in comments
• A quick screen-share walkthrough or short video so I understand how to refresh future files without breaking the model

If you regularly untangle CSV quirks, mixed regional formats, or scientific-looking numbers that should be currency, this will be straightforward. Let’s get my dashboards back to sanity.
