Excel and Power BI Audit Planning System
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a lightweight Excel + Power BI audit planning system.
The Excel file must act as the main planning engine, while Power BI is used only for visualization and dashboard reporting.
Main requirements:
1. Excel Structure
The workbook should contain:
* Audit Master
* Governance Dates
* Staff Master
* Audit Plan
The Audit Plan sheet is the core engine and must drive all visuals and timelines.
2. Audit Plan Requirements
The Audit Plan must allow:
* Audit selection
* Staff assignment
* Start and end dates
* Planning, Fieldwork and Reporting phases
Using:
* dropdown selections
* auto-calculated durations
* expandable tables (no hardcoded ranges)
Any changes made in the Audit Plan should automatically update the Gantt and Power BI visuals.
3. Governance Milestones
Governance dates (SMC-GRC, SMC, GBAC and BAC) must appear clearly in the timeline as milestone/checkpoint markers because audits need to work around these dates.
4. Power BI Dashboard
Only 2 pages required:
* Page 1: Dynamic Gantt / timeline view
* Page 2: Workload summary by auditor, audit type or month
Power BI must refresh directly from Excel without manual remapping.
5. Deliverables
* Excel workbook
* Power BI (.pbix) file
* Short guide/video on how to add new audits, staff and governance dates safely
Key expectation:
The system must remain scalable and continue working properly when new audits, staff or rows are added.
