A Day in the Life of a Data Visualization Consultant at Softcrylic:
Every dataset has a story. You are the talent that brings that story to life! Visualization illustrates data stories across the organization, democratizing interactive data experiences and driving digital transformation at all levels of the enterprise.
Your talents with visualization platforms make YOU uniquely suited to deliver superior tools - and rockstar results - for our customers.
As a Data Visualization Consultant at Softcrylic, you will work with some of the largest brands in the world to transform their enterprise into data-driven environments via clear, concise, and compelling visualizations. You will work directly with stakeholders to determine requirements and goals, and then with our team of Analysts and Engineers to define and drive views on data providing insight on those key business questions. You’ll be capable of extracting and transforming data to suit reporting requirements. And most importantly, you’ll have a knack for design and storytelling to elegantly put context to the data.
Responsibilities of the Data Visualization Consultant:
Perform analysis of data sets to identify trends, relationships, and insights.
Design and build data visualizations using structured and unstructured data.
Elegantly and attractively present findings and results via visualization.
Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience with BI and data visualization development.
At least 3 years of Power BI and Tableau experience.
At least 3 years of solid SQL querying experience.
Experience in working on DOMO will be a big plus.
Data science experience a plus.
Portfolio to Include:
Superior understanding of UI/UX design concepts.
Superior visual design skills.
Demonstrated delivery of prototypes, mock-ups, and storyboards to requirements.
Extensive command of reporting logic: Power Query, M, DAX, Tableau Formula Language.
Excellent analytical skills and an understanding of statistical methods.
Deep interest and excitement for excellent and transformative reporting.
Publicly available report samples required for review.
