Power BI Expert Needed for Cloud-Based Project Costing Dashboard & Future Visualizations
Description:
We’re looking for a Power BI expert to help us build a cloud-hosted, interactive dashboard based on our internal Project Costing Excel sheet.
The goal is to transform raw numbers into clean, visual insights we can use for internal decision-making and team reviews. This will be the first of many dashboards, so we are open to a long-term collaboration.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Analyze our Excel file (Sample Project Costing)
Build a cloud-accessible Power BI dashboard (must be shareable via public or link-based access without user login)
Include the following:
Key financial metrics (total project cost, margin, variance)
Cost breakdown by category, team, resource
Filters by project/client/timeline
Cash flow / forecast visualizations (if applicable)
Drill-down capability for detailed analysis
Ensure it is client-friendly, responsive, and clearly structured
Provide a brief Loom/video walkthrough or short documentation
Tech Requirements:
Dashboard must be cloud-hosted (either via Power BI Service or other method)
Must support link sharing without requiring viewers to log in
You can use your own Power BI license if needed (let us know)
Ideal Profile:
Proven experience building Power BI dashboards for financials or project costing
Strong understanding of metrics like COGS, margins, project timelines
Bonus: Familiarity with Power Query, DAX, or Excel PowerPivot
Proactive, communicates well, delivers fast
Clean design mindset (no clutter, clear visuals)
Project Scope:
One-time project to start
Estimated duration: 2–3 days
Budget: Open (hourly or fixed, based on quality and speed)
Potential to scale into long-term reporting & dashboards work
