Campaign Reporting & KPI Analyst
Budget: $2 – $8 CAD
Google Ads, Meta Ads, Reporting, Dashboarding
We’re a performance-focused growth marketing agency running Google and Meta paid traffic for values-led businesses.
Strategy, campaign management, and recommendations are already handled internally by another team member.
Now we’re looking for a data-focused reporting analyst whose primary responsibility is to structure campaign data, evaluate performance against KPIs, and clearly show what is working vs. not working.
This role is not about managing campaigns or making strategic decisions.
It is about:
organizing data → evaluating performance → building reports → surfacing clarity
> What This Role Actually Does
You will work with campaign data from Google Ads, Meta Ads, and analytics tools and turn it into:
- Clean, structured reports
- KPI-based performance comparisons
- Campaign segmentation based on performance and data maturity
- Clear visibility into which campaigns are meeting, approaching, or missing targets
> Core Responsibility
Your job is to answer, consistently and clearly:
- Which campaigns have sufficient data for performance evaluation vs those still in early data collection phases
- Which campaigns are meeting performance targets vs underperforming
- Which campaigns are:
-- Within KPI
-- Near KPI
-- Outside KPI
And present that in a structured, repeatable reporting format.
> Responsibilities
> > Data Organization & Reporting
- Pull and organize campaign data from Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, and internal reports
- Maintain clean, structured reporting sheets or dashboards
- Ensure data consistency across time periods (weekly, monthly comparisons)
- Build standardized reporting formats the team can rely on
> > Performance Segmentation (Core Task)
- Group and label campaigns based on:
-- Data sufficiency (volume, stability, conversion data)
-- Performance relative to KPI targets
- Apply consistent classification logic across all reporting
- Maintain clarity in how campaigns are categorized and evaluated
> > KPI Tracking & Performance Flagging
- Compare campaign performance against defined KPIs (e.g., CPA, CPL, ROAS)
- Clearly flag:
-- Campaigns meeting targets
-- Campaigns outside acceptable ranges
-- Campaigns trending toward performance issues
- Highlight changes over time (improving vs declining performance)
> > Reporting & Dashboarding
- Build and maintain performance reports (spreadsheets and/or dashboards)
- Gradually improve reporting efficiency and structure over time
- Help create a centralized reporting system using:
-- Power BI, or
-- A strong alternative (Metabase, Grafana, etc.)
- Ensure reports clearly show:
-- Spend vs results
-- KPI vs actual performance
-- Campaign performance tiers
-- Trends over time
> > Pattern Identification (Light Analysis)
- Identify simple, data-backed patterns such as:
-- Performance improving or declining
-- Cost increases
-- Conversion rate changes
- You are not responsible for deciding strategy, only surfacing patterns clearly
> What This Role Is NOT
- Not campaign management
- Not creative strategy
- Not client communication
- Not making final decisions
- Another team member handles:
-- Analysis interpretation
-- Recommendations
-- Execution
- You provide the data clarity layer that supports those decisions
> Requirements
- Experience working with Google Ads / Meta Ads data
- Strong spreadsheet skills (this role lives in spreadsheets)
- Ability to organize messy data into clean reporting structures
- Comfort working with KPIs (CPA, CPL, ROAS, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to apply consistent rules across datasets
- Clear, structured thinking
> Nice to Have
- Experience with Power BI or dashboard tools
- Familiarity with open-source BI tools (Metabase, Grafana, etc.)

- Ongoing role with growth potential

Please send:
- 1–2 examples of reports or dashboards you’ve created
- A short explanation of how you would:
-- Determine whether a campaign has enough data to evaluate performance
-- Identify whether a campaign is meeting KPI targets
- Your experience with spreadsheets and/or BI tools
