Build Power BI Financial Statements
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have an Excel trial balance that lives on several separate worksheets instead of one consolidated tab. I need that data brought into Power BI, modelled correctly, and turned into two refresh-ready reports: an Income Statement and a Balance Sheet.
You’ll connect to the workbook, combine the sheets into a clean fact table, create any lookup tables you feel are useful, and then write the DAX that drives the two statements. When I swap the source file for a new period, the reports must recalculate without further intervention.
Deliverables
• A fully-working .pbix file containing the data model, queries, measures, and two report pages (Income Statement, Balance Sheet)
• Brief documentation explaining the transformations and key measures so I can maintain or extend the model later
I’ll validate the build by matching your totals against the original trial balance for a couple of sample periods. If everything ties out, the project is complete.
