Power Automate Consultant for Business Automations

Job ID: 40553687

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

About the role
We're a multi-location automotive group looking for a consultant to help us build out a set of business process automations using Microsoft Power Automate and SharePoint. Our HR and operations teams have a backlog of manual, repetitive workflows that are ready to be automated, and we need someone who can architect and build reliable, well-documented flows we can maintain after the engagement ends.
This is a project-based consulting engagement, not a full-time position. You'll work closely with our internal team to scope each process, build the automation, test it against real data, and hand it off with documentation.

What you'll do
Build Power Automate flows to automate HR and operational processes (onboarding tasks, reminders, notifications, approvals, data hand-offs, etc.)
Set up and structure SharePoint lists and libraries to serve as the data source and trigger layer for those flows
Translate manual, step-by-step processes into clean automated workflows
Test flows against real scenarios and handle edge cases and error handling
Document each flow so our internal team can maintain and extend it
Advise on Power Platform best practices and reusable patterns

What we're looking for
Hands-on experience building flows in Power Automate (cloud flows, connectors, conditions, approvals)
Working knowledge of SharePoint Online — lists, libraries, columns, and using them as a data backbone for automation
Ability to take a loosely defined process and turn it into a structured, reliable workflow
Clear communicator who can document work and explain design decisions to non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable working independently and managing your own time against milestones
Bonus: experience with the broader Power Platform (Power Apps, Copilot Studio, AI Builder), Microsoft 365 admin, or HR/operations process work
