Power App Sequential Approval Flow
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a small-footprint Power Apps solution (Canvas App + automated flow) that lets my team submit a “Customer Commitment” and then routes it through a three-step, sequential approval chain.
Core purpose
The app’s only job is to record a commitment and push it through Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 approvals. Each level is chosen automatically from the user’s Country and, more importantly, their Region. Approvers should see a simple approve / reject interface; requestors should see live status.
Form fields
Every submission must capture:
• Customer details
• Commitment description
• Approval date (auto-stamped when each level signs off)
Expected deliverables
1. Canvas App: clean single-screen form for new commitments plus a status screen.
2. Power Automate flow (or equivalent) that:
– Detects the correct approver group per region,
– Sends sequential approval emails,
– Records every decision and timestamp.
3. Source file(s) and a brief hand-over note so we can import the solution to our tenant and adjust region mappings later.
Acceptance criteria
• A test commitment raised in “Region A” reaches the right Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 users automatically.
• Decision history is visible inside the app.
• No hard-coding of approver names—only Country/Region tables or security groups.
