Troubleshooting DB & FTA
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need to formalise a complete troubleshooting process for oil-and-gas service for different equipments . The job has two core outputs:
• A structured, queryable database that captures every data point needed to diagnose and prevent failures. I will supply raw spreadsheets and field notes; you will design the schema, normalise the data, migrate what I give you, and leave me with an easy way to expand it later (MySQL or PostgreSQL preferred, but I am open to your recommendation).
• A detailed Fault Tree Analysis that maps all credible failure modes for these equipments and links directly back to the records in the database. The FTA should be delivered both as an editable file from a recognised reliability tool (e.g., ReliaSoft, FaultTree+, or equivalent) and as a PDF for quick reference.
Acceptance criteria
1. Database loads in one step on my local machine and runs sample queries without errors.
2. Fault tree structure matches ISO14224 conventions and is cross-referenced to the database IDs.
3. A short user guide shows how to add new events, update data, and regenerate the diagrams.
Please attach a detailed project proposal outlining the approach, tools you favour, timeline, and any prior compressor-specific work you can speak to. I will review proposals this week and move quickly to award.
