Ruby on Rails Backend Specialist Needed
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I have a React-based product in active development and now need a dedicated Ruby on Rails engineer to own the server-side layer. The focus is squarely on backend development: designing a clean data model in PostgreSQL, exposing REST or GraphQL endpoints, and wiring everything into our continuous-deployment pipeline so we can ship quickly and iterate often.
Success here demands more than just writing code. I’m counting on you to bring at least two years of professional software-engineering experience, a solid CS (or comparable) background, and a track record of launching user-facing features at scale. You should feel at home in an agile workflow, pushing small, well-tested commits several times a day and collaborating closely with a React front-end team.
While Rails is the core requirement, familiarity with Typescript, GraphQL, and HAML will make integration smoother. If you’ve previously tuned Postgres for performance, even better.
Deliverables
• A production-ready Rails codebase with automated test coverage
• Documented API endpoints that plug cleanly into our React front end
• Deployment configuration (CI/CD) that supports rapid, reliable releases
Let me know about similar projects you’ve shipped, the tooling you prefer, and how you’d approach the first milestone. I’m ready to start as soon as we align on a plan.
