PostgreSQL/Supabase Architect - Consult
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
This is a design consult only and expected to last a few hours. If our collaboration with you is successful, we will welcome the opportunity to work with you in the build/development phase.
**Project Overview**
I'm building a city-based local directory app featuring retailer and vendor listings — think coffee shops, restaurants, tourist attractions, parking facilities, hospitals, and more. Each listing will include rich attribute data such as hours of operation, amenities, menus, pricing, and fees.
I need an experienced database architect to help design a clean, scalable schema in PostgreSQL/Supabase that can grow to hundreds of thousands of records without sacrificing speed or storage efficiency.
**What You'll Be Doing**
- Reviewing my list of data fields and categories
- Recommending how to break information into logical, efficient tables
- Defining table relationships (one-to-many, many-to-many, etc.)
- Delivering a clear, easy-to-read graphical layout of the database architecture and relationships
**This is a consulting/design engagement — no coding is required for this phase.** That said, if the collaboration goes well, there is opportunity to continue into the build phase.
**Requirements**
- Proven hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/Supabase
- Strong understanding of relational database design and normalization
- Demonstrated ability to design for performance and scalability
- Must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement before starting and have ability to abide by it
**Please include relevant portfolio examples or past database design work in your application. Inexperienced applicants will not be considered.**
