Pickleball League Backend with Node.js
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m building a full-featured website for our new pickleball league and need an experienced backend developer to bring the real-time pieces to life. The stack is already chosen: Node.js (Express or NestJS) with PostgreSQL as the primary database.
Core tasks
• Live player auctions – real-time bidding, instant bid notifications, and a full auction history log powered by Socket.IO.
• Live match scoring – endpoints that push each team’s score and stats seconds after every rally so the front-end can update instantly.
• Secure auth – JWT sessions plus OTP or token-based magic-link login for captains, admins, and bidders.
• Media handling – upload player photos and team assets straight to AWS S3 (or Cloudinary if you prefer) and store only the URLs.
• Reporting – generate CSV and PDF summaries of auctions, rosters, and match results directly from the backend.
What I expect as deliverables
1. Clean, well-documented REST & WebSocket APIs.
2. Normalised PostgreSQL schema (migrations included).
3. Tested codebase (unit & basic integration).
4. Deployment scripts or Docker setup so I can spin it up on AWS.
5. Brief hand-off session and README that lets my front-end team plug in without guesswork.
