Migration from Firebase + Netlify to a Dedicated Server (Next.js / PostgreSQL)

Job ID: 40165240

Budget: €30 – €250 EUR

I’m looking for an expert to migrate my existing production platform from Firebase + Netlify to a dedicated Debian server.

Current Stack:

* Frontend: Next.js (already developed, hosted on GitHub)
* Database: Firebase (Firestore) — approx. 164,000 records
* Search: Meilisearch
* CDN & images: Bunny.net (will remain unchanged)
* Hosting: Netlify (to be removed)
* Domains: 9 language-specific domains, identical structure with content in different languages

Target Stack:

* Dedicated server (Debian)
* PostgreSQL as the primary database
* Self-hosted Meilisearch
* Redis for caching
* Nginx reverse proxy + HTTPS (Let’s Encrypt)
* Next.js SSR served directly from the server

Responsibilities:

* Secure server setup (UFW firewall, SSH key-only access, fail2ban)
* Nginx reverse proxy + HTTPS configuration
* Docker / Docker Compose setup
* Automated backups (database + sitemap files) to external storage
* Basic monitoring (CPU, RAM, disk usage, log rotation)
* PostgreSQL hardening (local binding, users, roles, permissions)
* Data migration from Firebase (Firestore) to PostgreSQL (ETL)
* Meilisearch integration and indexing
* Redis caching configuration

Required Experience:

* Strong PostgreSQL experience at scale
* Proven data migration / ETL experience
* Node.js (or equivalent backend scripting)
* Meilisearch
* Redis
* Linux server administration (Debian/Ubuntu)

Project Notes:

* Frontend code is already complete
* Firebase data export is available
* Dedicated server is already provisioned
* Bunny.net remains in use for CDN and images
* Clean architecture and documentation are required
