Keyword-Based Site Monitoring SaaS

Job ID: 40125895

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I run a live SaaS that scans any link—be it a news portal, blog, or e-commerce page—and fires an alert the instant a chosen keyword appears. Basic subscribers receive an email; Premium users get the same email plus a WhatsApp message.

The next milestones are very clear:

• Accelerate and harden the crawler so URLs are checked more frequently without false positives
• Expand the keyword engine to accept multiple terms, exclusions and regex patterns
• Offer richer notification personalisation—message templates, quiet hours and multi-language support
• Polish dashboard UX, onboarding and overall performance
• Prepare the back-end to handle hundreds of monitored links per account and keep latency under a minute

Open-source technologies suit us perfectly. A blend of Node.js or Python micro-services, serverless functions, message queues, PostgreSQL or MongoDB, SendGrid/SES and Twilio’s WhatsApp API are all on the table, but I’m happy to refine the stack together.

Acceptance criteria
1. A newly published keyword is detected within 60 seconds.
2. The alert reaches the selected channel using the user’s personalised template.
3. All new code is unit-tested and shipped behind feature flags for safe rollout.

If this kind of continuous product evolution excites you, let’s discuss how you can take ownership of the upcoming sprints and shape the roadmap.
