Full-Stack Restaurant Booking Platform
Budget: $50 – $0 USD
I need a seasoned full-stack developer to take the lead on building a production-ready restaurant booking platform from scratch. The initial milestone centres on a rock-solid table reservation module built with React or Next.js on the front end, a Node.js API, and PostgreSQL as the primary data store (bonus points if you are also comfortable with MongoDB/Express).
Core scope
• Real-time availability check that instantly reflects table inventory and prevents double-booking.
• Automatic reservation confirmations by email and SMS, triggered the moment a booking is finalised.
• Multilingual interface from day one so new languages can be added without refactoring.
Architecture & workflow
I favour clean, well-documented code, RESTful (or GraphQL) endpoints, tested components, and Git-based CI/CD. Expect to collaborate directly with me on feature planning, database schema design, and UX tweaks. Reusability and scalability are crucial because this platform will grow into customer management and payment processing later; excellent delivery here will lead to a long-term engagement.
Acceptance criteria
1. A deployed demo (Vercel/Netlify/Render or similar) showing the reservation flow working end-to-end.
2. Source code in a private Git repository with clear README, environment variables, and schema migrations.
3. Unit and integration tests covering at least the booking logic and notification triggers.
4. Documentation outlining how to add a new language file and roll back a failed deployment.
If you have proven experience shipping React/Next.js + Node.js products, and you value clean code and open communication, I’d love to review your approach and timeline.
