Full Codebase Health Audit
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a seasoned full-stack developer to take a fresh, objective look at our live ticketing and checkout platform built with Node.js (Express), React / React Native, PostgreSQL, and Stripe. The app runs well today; the goal is simply to understand its overall health and create a clear roadmap for future maintenance or feature work.
What I’d like you to do
• Pull the entire repo (API and both web / mobile front-ends) and spin it up locally or in a sandbox.
• Walk through the structure, security posture, and general maintainability—package versions, linting rules, folder conventions, test coverage, and any potential React Native quirks.
• Check PostgreSQL migrations and query performance, making sure schemas line up with the code.
• Verify that our deployment instructions, env variables, and CI/CD steps are unambiguous and reproducible.
Deliverables
1. Concise written report (PDF or Markdown) highlighting:
– Structural or architectural red flags
– Security vulnerabilities or outdated dependencies
– Gaps in documentation or unclear setup steps
2. Priority-ranked recommendations I can action immediately or schedule later.
3. Confirmation that you could re-deploy the project from scratch using only the existing docs.
If that sounds straightforward and you’re comfortable across Node.js, React, React Native, PostgreSQL, and Stripe integrations, let’s get started.
