Customize a Postgresql engine

I need assistance customizing the PostgreSQL engine. This is for a custom platform that I am currently developing.

Example of customization of PostgreSQL that I need are below
- Building a custom data types like currency
- adding blob storage that makes it easy to upload images and have an image data type as part of a Postgresql engine
