Configure Postfix on Ubuntu VPS
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I have an Ubuntu-based VPS that I want to turn into a reliable mail-sending host using Postfix. The instance is fresh; nothing has been installed yet, so you’ll be starting from a clean slate.
The only protocol I need exposed is SMTP—no IMAP or POP3 boxes to manage—just rock-solid outbound and relay capability. Alongside the core Postfix install, I want every standard security measure baked in: TLS certificates for encrypted transport, proper SPF and DKIM records generated and tested for my domain, plus concise firewall rules that leave only the required ports open.
Deliverables
• Postfix installed and sending test messages successfully over SMTP
• Valid SSL/TLS configuration (Let’s Encrypt is fine)
• SPF and DKIM records provided and verified via common testing tools
• UFW/iptables tightened to the minimum necessary ports
• Simple README summarising commands used, file locations, and how to renew certs
I’ll supply root access to the VPS and the domain registrar panel for DNS changes. Once everything passes basic deliverability tests (Mail-Tester or similar) and logs show no errors, we’re done.
