Coraline-Style Stop-Motion Short Film

Job ID: 40127526

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have a finished script for a short-form movie—working title “The Place That Keeps Pieces”—that I want brought to life in a stop-motion style reminiscent of the atmosphere and tactile charm of Coraline. The final running time will be no more than 30 minutes.

What I need from you
• Visual development that translates my script into distinctive characters, sets, and props with that slightly eerie, handmade feel Coraline fans love.
• Complete stop-motion production: fabrication, staging, frame-by-frame animation, lighting, and camera work.
• Post-production including clean-up, compositing, color grading, sound design, and delivery of a high-quality master file ready for festival submission and online release.

My script is locked, so you can dive straight into pre-production. I’m open to your creative input on art direction, but the core tone—whimsical with a dark edge—must stay intact.

Deliverables
1. Look-dev package (style frames, character sheets, set layout) for approval.
2. Animatic to confirm pacing and shot flow.
3. Rough animation reels in agreed-upon increments.
4. Final graded film (4K ProRes or equivalent) plus separate dialogue, music, and effects stems.

If you have a showreel of previous stop-motion work, especially projects with moody lighting or miniature sets, please share it when you bid. Let’s craft a memorable little world together.
