YA Fiction to Brazilian Portuguese

Job ID: 39797035

Budget: $2 – $8 AUD

I have up to three freshly written young-adult fiction manuscripts that need to be rendered into engaging, idiomatic Brazilian Portuguese while staying faithful to the original voice and pacing. Each book is a full-length novel, and I’ll provide the complete English manuscripts in editable Word files as well as a short style guide explaining recurring terminology, character names, and tone notes.

Your task is to deliver a polished Brazilian Portuguese version of each book, ready for copy-edit and layout. That means preserving dialogue rhythm, localizing cultural references where helpful, and ensuring the emotional beats still resonate with a teen audience in Brazil. No literal, word-for-word output—these stories must read as if they were written natively in Portuguese.

Deliverables for each title
• Translated manuscript in .docx, mirroring original formatting
• A brief translator’s glossary for recurring terms and names
• Change log of any cultural adaptations that might need editorial approval

I’ll review each draft in two rounds: first for overall flow, then for final wording. We’ll keep communication open through Google Docs comments or Track Changes to speed up approvals. If you’ve previously translated YA fantasy, romance, or coming-of-age novels into Brazilian Portuguese and can point me to samples, let me know.
