Weekly Podcast Audio Editor Needed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We release a 20–25-minute mental health and business podcast every week and need a reliable editor who can keep pace with our production calendar. You’ll receive roughly 30 minutes of raw audio for each episode and will turn it into a polished MP3 complete with our existing voice-over-with-music intro, any mid-roll promotions, and the standard outro.
The core editing work includes:
• Noise reduction, volume leveling, and removal of any background sounds
• Tightening the conversation so it flows and fits the target runtime
• Dropping in the supplied intro/outro and promotional spots at the correct timestamps
• Exporting the final file in high-quality MP3 and uploading it to our shared drive
I batch-record several episodes at a time, so dependable turnaround and clear communication are essential—you’ll often be working a few weeks or months ahead of release.
Nice-to-have skills (let me know if you can help):
• Advising on acoustics and gear for an in-office recording setup
• Producing short ad spots that match the show’s tone
• Light video editing for YouTube, social media clips
If you have a streamlined workflow, some knowledge of healthcare, and a track record of meeting deadlines, I’d love to hear how you’d approach this project and keep our episodes sounding professional week after week.
Ideally, we'd like to negotiate a set rate to produce an episode a week with other services as ad-ons.
