Plesk Server Performance & Security Overhaul
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I need an experienced Plesk-on-Linux specialist to give my dedicated server a complete tune-up before I migrate several WordPress sites (and their mailboxes) onto it. The highest priority is raw server performance, but every change must also strengthen security and keep the coming migration smooth.
Here is what I want to accomplish:
• Performance tuning – Review and adjust Apache/Nginx/Redis, PHP-FPM, MariaDB, and system-level limits so the box runs lean and fast.
• Object caching – Install and configure Redis (or another proven solution) and wire it into WordPress so page-generation times drop noticeably.
• Database optimisation – Indexing, query caching, and cleanup to ensure WP tables stay trim.
• Load reduction – Fine-tune cron jobs, compression, HTTP/2, and any unnecessary services so CPU and RAM headroom is ready for traffic spikes.
• Security hardening – Harden Plesk, activate mod_security rules, tighten SSH, set up Fail2Ban and firewall policies, and make sure SSL/TLS settings hit current best-practice scores.
• Assisted migration – Move the WordPress sites and their e-mail accounts over with near-zero downtime, verify DNS cut-over, and run post-migration checks for broken links, images, or mail flow.
Acceptance criteria
1. Benchmarks (before vs. after) showing tangible speed gains on both server metrics and real-world WordPress page loads.
2. Security scan reporting no critical vulnerabilities or outdated services.
3. All sites and mailboxes function correctly on the new server with DNS fully propagated.
4. A brief hand-off note summarising key changes, locations of config backups, and how to clear or pre-load the object cache.
