Description:
I am seeking an experienced automation/PLC professional to assist with on-site troubleshooting of a Siemens SIMATIC S7-200 system (CPU 224XP) and OP73micro panel at our facility in County Offaly, Ireland.
The goal is to identify and resolve hardware and/or software issues affecting system operation.
Key Requirements:
• Strong experience with Siemens SIMATIC S7-200 systems, particularly CPU and communication troubleshooting
• Ability to connect to the PLC using STEP 7 MicroWIN
• Diagnose and resolve hardware or program-related faults
• Familiarity with RS-485/PPI communication protocols
• Ability to complete a site visit (call-out) to Offaly
Ideal Skills & Experience:
• Proven hands-on troubleshooting experience with S7-200 PLCs
• Comfortable using Siemens tools such as MicroWIN and PPI cables
• Analytical and detail-oriented approach
• Able to work independently and provide a concise report or summary after diagnosis
