Next-Gen EPS Moulding Machine Design
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m building a next-generation EPS shape-moulding machine that features quick-mould-change (QMC) technology, and I’m ready to turn early sketches into a workable, shop-floor-ready plan. I’m looking for one versatile engineer—or a tight-knit duo—who can cover BOTH mechanical design and PLC/automation.
What I need
Mechanical
• Model the platen, frame, tie-bar layout and QMC locking mechanism in SolidWorks or Creo (I work with both, so fluency in both is essential).
• Size actuators, guides and piping paths, then create a basic BOM and exploded views that explain the QMC sequence.
Automation
• Lay out the PLC architecture to run steam, vacuum, cooling and ejection cycles.
• Produce an I/O list, timing diagram and a ladder/FBD logic outline ready for bench testing.
Core deliverables
1. Parametric 3D assembly and detail drawings for all main sub-systems.
2. Animation or step file that demonstrates the quick change sequence.
3. PLC program outline with tagged I/O list and short hand-off report.
Project details
• Timeline: 6–8 weeks from kickoff.
• Location: Work remotely; the plant is in Belgaum, Karnataka, if you’d like to visit.

Ideal background
Experience in SPM, plastic machinery or EPS moulding, solid command of SolidWorks & Creo, and previous PLC/HMI integration (Siemens or Allen-Bradley a bonus).
