Dual Elevator Simscape-PLC Integration
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I already sketched the overall process and now need it executed end-to-end.
First, the mechanical side: model both shafts and cars for a 12-floor building in SolidWorks, then export a clean STEP assembly I will Provide. Using the Simscape Multibody add-in, generate the required .XML so the geometry drops straight into Simulink.
Inside Simulink the two cars have to move independently while sharing the shaft space. I will supply the motion logic; you wire in the cylinders/motors plus the usual proximity and door-status signals so the model reports positions, speeds, and door states in real time. The cars must accept a priority-based call queue and never collide; the model should flag any envelope breach automatically.
Next comes connectivity. Expose all relevant tags through OPC UA and prove that a B&R X90 safety PLC can read/write every command and status bit. The same project must run in Automation Studio with a simple HMI view that shows current floor, direction, and fault status for each car.
To close the loop I need:
• a repeatable build folder containing the SolidWorks file, exported STEP, Simscape .XML, and Simulink model
• Automation Studio project with OPC UA mapping and HMI page
• short user manual, screenshots, and a walk-through video of the entire flow
• unit-test results that demonstrate collision avoidance, call-queue handling, and PLC communication integrity
• concise final report and conclusion section
