I am working with a CLICK Plus PLC (AutomationDirect) and a bipolar stepper motor driven via a compatible stepper drive. I need a concise, well-structured PLC program that gives me repeatable linear motion with two key capabilities: precise positioning to any user-defined point and on-the-fly variable speed control.

The routine should home the axis on power-up, accept target position and speed values from the PLC’s data registers, accelerate and decelerate smoothly, and stop accurately without losing steps. If you can keep the code readable, heavily commented, and ready for me to edit later, that would be ideal.

Deliverables
• CLICK Plus project file (.ckp) with ladder (or stage) logic fully tested
• Brief wiring / I/O map showing step, direction, enable, and limit switch assignments
• Short rundown of how to change position, speed, and acceleration parameters
