Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC Integration

I need an experienced Beckhoff TwinCAT engineer who can take full ownership of PLC programming, HMI development, and overall system integration for a medium-scale manufacturing line now entering its pre-production phase. The hardware is already in place (CX and EtherCAT I/O), so the focus is on creating clean, modular TwinCAT 3 code, building a responsive HMI that operators can learn in minutes, and tying everything together with reliable communication to our existing MES.

Scope
• Develop and document TwinCAT 3 PLC logic for motion, safety, and process control.
• Design the HMI (TwinCAT HMI or your preferred Beckhoff-compatible platform) with alarm handling, recipe management, and diagnostics.
• Integrate third-party devices over EtherCAT and Modbus TCP, verifying deterministic data exchange.
• Commission on-site or remotely, run functional tests, and hand over a fully working system with source files.

Deliverables
1. Compiled TwinCAT project and all source code.
2. HMI runtime package and editable screens.
3. IO/device mapping, test results, and a brief commissioning report.
4. A short hand-over session so my maintenance team can navigate the project.

Acceptance criteria
• Cycle time meets our spec within ±5 %.
• All safety interlocks pass validation.
• Operators confirm HMI usability in a 15-minute walkthrough.
