Position: Freelance PLC Programmer
Project Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Freelance PLC Programmer to assist in the implementation and configuration of a Siemens S7 1200 series PLC system, specifically the 1215 C DC/DC/DC CPU, and the CM 1241 RS422/RS485 Modbus extension module. The primary focus of this project is to facilitate data acquisition from multiple energy meters for an Industrial Energy Management System (EMS).
Key Requirements:
PLC Make and Model:
Proficient in working with Siemens S7 1200 series PLC, particularly model number 6ES7214-1AG40-0XB0.
Familiarity with the CPU 1215 C DC/DC/DC and the CM 1241 RS422/RS485 Modbus extension module.
Purpose of the PLC Implementation:
Enable data acquisition from various energy meters for an Industrial Energy Management System.
Facilitate data transfer from the PLC to a local server.
Scope of Work:
Acquire data from approximately 20+ energy meters.
Integrate data from different energy meters into the PLC system.
Define tags for effective data organization.
Implement and activate an OPC UA server for seamless data transfer.
Provide training on the implementation process and document the PLC configuration for future reference.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in PLC programming, particularly with Siemens S7 1200 series.
Familiarity with the specified PLC make and model, including the CPU and Modbus extension module.
Previous experience in data acquisition and integration for energy management systems.
Ability to define tags for efficient organization and retrieval of data.
Proficient in setting up and activating OPC UA servers.
Strong documentation skills for capturing the PLC configuration process.
Duration and Remuneration:
Compensation will be discussed and agreed upon based on the scope of work and expected deliverables.
