Pixel Art Overhaul for Idle Game
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I run a browser-based idle game built with JavaScript/JSX/TSX. Up to now every visual you see—characters, spells, companions, backgrounds, items, buttons and icons—has been a quick placeholder. I’m ready to replace that temporary artwork with a cohesive set of retro-style fantasy sprites that truly sell the world I’ve created.
The job is straightforward: for each existing placeholder you’ll deliver a pixel-perfect replacement that matches the game’s 16-bit-era look while staying readable at the small sizes typical of an idle-game interface. I will supply a list of current asset names, dimensions and animation states; you return neatly - organised sprite sheets (PNG), plus the original layered files in case tweaks are needed later.
Acceptance criteria
• Every asset referenced in the hand-off spreadsheet appears in its sprite sheet at the exact coordinates and frame counts specified.
• Palette remains within a restrained retro range yet still conveys a bright, whimsical fantasy mood.
• Transparency, trim and spacing allow me to drop each sheet straight into my existing rendering pipeline without code changes.
Once the first batch drops into production we’ll iterate room-by-room until the entire UI and world map feel consistent. If you enjoy breathing life into small-scale pixel scenes and can work efficiently with a technical hand-off, I’m eager to start swapping out those placeholders right away.
