Pixel Art Character & Tiles
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m building a side-view platformer and need fresh, modular pixel art. First up is a single base character sprite that I can dress up on the fly: separate layers for hair, eyes, multiple skin tones, and a set of simple clothes. The art has to stay clean and readable at game-play scale, so 16×16 px or 32×32 px proportions work fine—whichever you’re most comfortable animating in Aseprite, Pyxel Edit, Photoshop, or similar.
The character must move convincingly. I’ll need three core animation loops: walking, jumping, and climbing. Smooth, two- to eight-frame cycles are ideal; the exact frame count is up to you so long as it feels fluid in-game.
Alongside the hero, I also want a small environment tileset for a classic platformer: ground blocks, floating platforms, and a rope or ladder tile that matches the character’s climbing frames. Keep the palette consistent with the character so everything sits naturally together.
Deliverables
• Base character sprite with separate hair, eyes, skin, and clothing layers
• Pixel-art animations: walk, jump, climb (side view)
• 1-bit or reduced-palette tileset: floor, platforms, rope/ladder
• Source files (layered) plus exported PNGs ready to drop into my engine
This is an ongoing project, so if we click you can stick around for new enemies, biomes, and UI elements—or just lend a hand for this first batch. Let me know your turnaround time and show me any previous pixel-art characters you’re proud of.
