TradingView Manual Indicator Creation

I’m looking for a clean, well-commented Pine Script indicator that will support my discretionary stock trading on TradingView. The script should plot clear Buy/Sell signals and an at-a-glance trend overlay so I can make quick manual decisions without cluttering the chart.

Core needs
• Platform: TradingView (latest Pine Script version)
• Market: Equities only; no forex or crypto logic required
• Functions:
– Visual Buy and Sell markers based on my chosen logic (we can refine rules together)
– A trend component that confirms the prevailing direction—colour-changing background or moving average ribbon, whichever keeps the chart readable
• All parameters adjustable from the Settings panel (lengths, thresholds, colours)
• Alerts ready to activate with one click, matching the on-chart signals

Deliverables
- Fully functioning .pine file ready to import
- Brief walkthrough explaining inputs, how the signals are derived, and suggested default values
- Up to one round of tweaks after first hand-off to make sure it fits my workflow
