- Possess training and certification in Instrument Flight Rules (IFR)
- Have a Multi-engine Aircraft Rating
- Extensive flying experience is critical for this role

- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and operations
- IFR certification, Multi-engine aircraft rating and type ratings for specific aircraft
