Provide and Excel File and a PDF with a written description of the solution of the following questions about a ball rolling on surface.

A ball with a diameter of 1.68” and a mass of 45.9 grams is rolled down a ramp. The ball is released 29.4” from the end of a ramp. The ramp makes a 21-degree angle from the rolling surface. Assume friction effects of ramp and ball are negligible.

Question 1: What is the velocity of the ball at the bottom of the ramp?

Question 2a: Assuming the ball comes to rest 9.5 feet from the exit of the ramp and the only force resisting motion is the friction force of the rolling surface, what is the rolling resistance coefficient? Assume the rolling surface is flat and the ball rolls (no skipping or skidding).

Question 2b: Based on the rolling resistance coefficient calculated in Question 2a, how far would the ball roll if the ball exited the ramp and the rolling surface was inclined 1% (ball rolling up a 1% hill)? How far would the ball roll if the ball was rolling down a 1% slope?

Question 2c: Assume the rolling surface has 1% slope in the X direction and 1% slope in the Y direction. Assume the ball is release at the Origin (0,0). At what X and Y location will the ball come to rest?

Question 2d: How long did the ball roll in Question 2a, 2b, and 2c?

Question 3: Assume the same ball and rolling surface in Questions 1 and 2. Consider the last 6” of travel in the ball, when velocity is still positive but approaching zero. On a flat or shallow slope the ball will come to a stop and stay in place. On a steep slope, the ball will come to rest and roll backwards. At what angle does the ball no longer come to rest but begin to roll back down the hill?
