I’m working through a second-year physics course aimed at life-science majors and need clear, concise guidance on the atomic-physics portion of the modern-physics unit. My algebra and trigonometry are solid, and I’m comfortable with basic vector calculus, so I’d like to go beyond memorizing facts and actually see how the ideas fit together mathematically and conceptually.

Scope
• Focus strictly on atomic physics—energy levels, spectra, the Bohr model, quantization, and how these ideas underpin phenomena such as the photoelectric effect.
• Emphasis on conceptual understanding. I want you to walk me through the “why,” not just the formulas.
• Provide short written explanations, annotated diagrams, or quick derivations that I can review between sessions.
• Optional: brief practice questions to check my grasp after each topic.

Format
We can work in short, focused video or chat sessions, followed by shared notes (PDF or Google Docs). Screen-sharing or a virtual whiteboard is fine—whatever helps illustrate the concepts clearly.

Deliverable
