I want to download and synch all my YouTube comments in to a local database.
Budget: £750 – £1,500 GBP
This is a personal project that I want to integrate into my diary and blog.
I have tried many people who claimed they could do it using things like takeout report options or existing APIs.
I have had a look at the available Activity and YouTube APIs and there seems to be nothing of use there.
However some one who can write an API and is familiar with Bigqueries is the person to pull it off. I have been told as much by Google. They weren't able to provide me with an answer but that is the general direction that I was sent on.
On Top of the database, I also want a graphic interface that allows me to Append future comments and edit the text locally only. No need to update the Youtube live database.
This can be done through the YouTube interface. Therefore it must be possible but for some reason, YouTude hasn't implemented it as an API. Parsing the Takeout Report might be a good place to start but only as a starting point. To automate it and append new records will get messy especially as the download with end up growing into multiple ZIP files and can't be done on the go.
