slow query execution time issue php

we have a game built with php framework
each task is stored in db with values type and ending time
if time is now , then it will auto run the script and execute the task

now the issue is , when there are over 200 tasks supposed to end at same time
then issue happens , it becomes slow and delays them which is very unacceptable
task must be done once it's time achieved
