404 redirect fix

Recently configured a redirect to a alternative page when a 404 occurs.
Lately i see revenue coming from this url with the tracking i have set.
However i don't want to be redirected from a 404, they simply must be able to load myself.
I need somebody who can investigate this from the logs, where the cause of these 404's is.
