making sync option for uploading and downloading database for offline mode

I have codeigniter Project for point of sale web based version, my plan using for local server so i can do for offline mode. after doing offline, everything changed in local can send data to server through sync option. after that every changed in server can sync to local again.
mostly server will use for owner operational use, like purchasing order, set discount, adding new product/category, add edit user.
and local server (offline mode) use for pos, for transaction with customer. but sometimes owner can make changes in local server too.
if possible doing automatically then do automatically or use manual option with sync button.
