To build the platform, we will need to include several functions to ensure that clients are able to sign in, build a profile, search for a cargo transportation service, select a car to rent, get an estimated cost, and make payment online. Here are the steps and features that we need to implement:
Sign-in and Profile Creation: Clients will be able to create an account on the platform by providing basic information such as their name, email address, and phone number. Once registered, they will be able to create a profile with additional details such as their preferred payment method, address, and other relevant information.
Cargo Transportation Search: Clients will be able to search for a cargo transportation service on the platform, using a search function that will allow them to enter their current location and the destination address. If we can connect with Google Maps, we can provide accurate distance calculations.
Car Selection: Clients will be able to choose from different types of cars that are available for rental on the platform. Based on the selected car type, the system will estimate the cost of the transportation service based on factors such as trip distance, fuel price, fuel efficiency, and car maintenance (approximately 10% of the total cost).
Cost Estimation: The system will provide an estimated cost for the selected transportation service, including all the available options that the client can choose from.
Online Payment: Clients will be able to make payment online through the platform, using their preferred payment method. The payment will be frozen until the transportation is completed.
Driver Profile and Reviews: From the driver side, we will create a profile for each driver and their company, if applicable. Drivers will receive reviews from every transportation that they make, allowing clients to leave feedback on the quality of the service.
