customised stash plugin for moodle
Budget: $30 – $250 SGD
Scope of Work (SOW) for Fiverr Freelancer: Stash Plugin Modification
Project Overview:
We require a Moodle developer to modify the existing Stash Plugin to allow for a site-wide stash system that works across all courses. Currently, the Stash Plugin operates within individual courses, but we need an implementation where users' stashed items are shared and accessible across multiple courses.
Objective:
Modify the Stash Plugin so that:
Users have a global stash that persists across all Moodle courses.
Items collected in one course can be viewed and used in another course.
The stash remains accessible even if the student is not enrolled in a particular course where the item was collected.
The stash integrates with Level Up! Plugin (instead of GamiPress) to enhance gamification and progression.
A pop-up animation of three treasure chests appears whenever a student answers a question correctly, revealing specific and random stash items.
Requirements & Deliverables:
Database Changes:
Modify the Stash database schema to store items at a site-wide level instead of course-specific tables.
Ensure users have a unique stash tied to their Moodle account, rather than a per-course stash.
Plugin Code Modification:
Refactor the existing code to make stash retrieval site-wide.
Ensure the user stash can be displayed on a global leaderboard.
Create an API or integration that allows courses to check a user’s stash without duplication.
Implement a treasure chest pop-up animation that appears when a student answers a question correctly.
The pop-up should contain three treasure chests, each revealing:
Coins (fixed amount depending on student’s Level-Up rank).
Specific stash items.
Random stash items, with drop rates adjusted based on the student’s Level-Up rank.
Admin Customization Panel:
Allow admins to adjust the probability and formula for item drops.
Provide settings to define coin amount and item types based on the student's Level-Up rank.
Enable customization of the pop-up animation’s CSS and HTML via the settings page, allowing future modifications.
UI/UX Changes:
Update the Stash interface to allow users to view and manage their inventory from a global dashboard.
Add filters or categorization options for better inventory management.
Ensure the treasure chest animation is visually engaging and smoothly integrated into the user experience.
Integration with Level Up! Plugin:
Ensure that collected stash items contribute to Level-Up progression.
Sync collected items and coin rewards with the existing Level-Up XP system.
Testing & Debugging:
Perform testing to ensure the modified plugin does not conflict with existing Moodle functionalities.
Debug any issues related to multi-course access and stash retrieval.
Ensure smooth animation of the treasure chest pop-up without lag.
Documentation:
Provide clear documentation on how the modified plugin works.
Include installation and configuration instructions.
List any dependencies or additional requirements.
Additional Notes:
The modification should be compatible with Moodle 4.x and work seamlessly with existing plugins.
The freelancer must deliver a working prototype before final integration.
Freelancer must provide at least one round of revisions based on feedback.
Timeline:
Project Kickoff: Immediate upon hiring
First Draft of Modification: Within 7 days
Testing & Debugging: Within 14 days
Final Delivery: Within 21 days
Budget:
To be discussed based on the freelancer’s proposal.
How to Apply:
Provide examples of previous Moodle plugin development work.
Outline the technical approach for achieving a site-wide stash.
Confirm the ability to complete the project within the proposed timeline.
