I need help turning a fresh WordPress install into a clean, fast‐loading personal blog where I’ll mainly publish text-based articles. The core features I’m after are:

• An intuitive post editor setup geared toward long-form writing.
• Comment functionality switched on and styled so that discussions are easy to follow (spam protection included).
• Basic pages—About, Contact, and an archive—created and linked in the menu.
