Zen Cart & OS Ticket Unified Integration
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
Project Scope: Integration of Zen Cart with OS Ticket
Overview
The goal of this project is to integrate Zen Cart (versions 2.1.x and 1.5.x) with OS Ticket. This integration should allow for seamless user management between both platforms, and provide a unified experience for customers.
Requirements & Workflow
1. User Creation and Mapping
o When a new user is created in Zen Cart, the system should automatically create a user in OS Ticket and map the two accounts (Zen Cart user to OS Ticket user).
o For existing users, we can run a manual script to synchronize all current Zen Cart users with OS Ticket.
2. Account Management in Zen Cart
o When a user logs into Zen Cart, they should be able to access their account page, which will display a link to OS Ticket.
o Clicking the link will trigger the following logic:
A. User Creation in OS Ticket:
If the user does not exist in OS Ticket, create a new user in OS Ticket and link both user accounts.
B. User Exists in OS Ticket:
If the user already exists, log them in directly to OS Ticket without requiring another login.
Redirect the user to their account page in OS Ticket.
C. OS Ticket Menu Enhancement:
Upon logging into OS Ticket from Zen Cart, the OS Ticket menu should have a new item: "Back to Shopping Cart".
D. Navigation Between Platforms:
Clicking the "Back to Shopping Cart" link should bring the user back to their account page in Zen Cart, from where they connected to OS Ticket.
E. Session Integrity:
Maintain session integrity between Zen Cart and OS Ticket, so that the user does not get logged out of Zen Cart when they return from OS Ticket.
3. Zen Cart Admin Panel Integration
o Provide a link to OS Ticket's Admin Module within the Zen Cart Admin panel, similar to how users are linked in the frontend.
4. Development Process and Deliverables
o Zen Cart Module Development: A custom module will be developed in Zen Cart to facilitate the integration with OS Ticket. This module will handle user creation, synchronization, login, and session management.
o Integration Testing: Once the module is implemented, extensive testing will be carried out to ensure that the integration works as intended between Zen Cart and OS Ticket.
Milestones
The project will be divided into two main milestones:
1. Milestone 1: Initial Payment upon Agreement Signing
o Developer signs the IP Agreement and begins the development of the integration module.
o Partial payment will be made after the agreement is signed and the development starts.
2. Milestone 2: Final Payment upon Demonstration of Working Integration
o Developer demonstrates the functionality on our or his server.
o Full payment, excluding GST, will be made after successful implementation.
GST and Invoicing
• Developer is required to invoice the project with GST.
• GST will be paid separately on top of the project fee.
• The developer will need to deposit the GST amount with the relevant authority and provide proof of deposit before releasing the GST payment.
Functional Specifications
• Zen Cart to OS Ticket User Mapping: Sync and create users across both platforms.
• Session Management: Ensure the session stays intact when switching between Zen Cart and OS Ticket.
• Links in the Zen Cart Account Page: A functional link to OS Ticket from the user account page in Zen Cart.
• OS Ticket Menu Customization: Add a "Back to Shopping Cart" link in the OS Ticket menu.
• Admin Panel Integration: Provide a link from Zen Cart Admin to OS Ticket Admin.
Technical Details
• Zen Cart Compatibility: This integration will be built to support both Zen Cart 1.5.x and 2.1.x versions.
• OS Ticket Compatibility: This will work with the latest stable version of OS Ticket.
• Database Schema: The developer will need to modify both Zen Cart and OS Ticket databases to ensure proper linking of user accounts.
• Session Handling: The integration will use cookies or tokens to keep user sessions consistent across both platforms.
Additional Information
• Developer will need to sign an IP (Intellectual Property) Agreement, ensuring that the code and integration work done is proprietary to the client.
• Testing will be done on our/developers server to ensure everything functions as expected.
• Before release of payment, developer shall provide the entire source code and the installable module. Wherein we shall test it on our server.
• Once the project is working as per the requirements, payment will be released.

Next Steps
1. Sign IP Agreement: We will provide the IP agreement document for the developer to sign.
2. Development Kickoff: Upon signing, the developer will start work on the Zen Cart module and its integration with OS Ticket.
3. Milestone 1 Payment: Upon agreement signing, the initial payment will be made.
4. Milestone 2 Payment: After successful demonstration and testing on the client server, the final payment, including GST, will be made.
5. Modification of scope:-Scope may be altered during course of discussion, but will stand frozen once project takes off
