Wordpress Menu-Button opens external url in modal popup

we have a wordpress homepage and use a lms (own url, php with sql and existing plugin for wp). we want to click on homepage-menu button and then the loginpage of the lms opens in a (resizable? responsive!) modal popup and popup remains after login to work.
