WordPress Developer -- 2
Budget: £5 – £10 GBP
We are looking to hire a skilled WordPress developer to design and implement attractive and functional websites for our clients. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.
To be a successful WordPress developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress developer can create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client.
This position will be on a monthly retainer basis with a minimum of 40 hrs per month. The more successful your projects/tasks are, the more hours will be allocated monthly. Due to this being an hourly rate position, time tracking during tasks is essential.
On accepting the position an official contract will be put in place and rates determined on experience and performance.
WordPress Developer Responsibilities:
Building the website front-end form Figma/AI
Creating the website architecture.
Developing website pages and elements to SEO best practices.
Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
Create websites from scratch using Divi Builder/Theme
Work with Wordpress custom fields and Post types
Create page templates using HTML, JS and CSS
Conducting website performance tests.
Troubleshooting content issues, functionality issues and responsiveness.
Conducting WordPress training for the client on how to use the site.
Monitoring the performance of the live website.
Manage, update and add elements to existing websites.
Transfer of sites from one server to another.
Will be able to estimate a project timeline for proposals
Can deliver to deadlines and update project managers on progress.
WordPress Developer Requirements:
Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
Portfolio and references are preferable.
Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
Ability to manage projects.
Good communication skills in English
Prior knowledge to using project management software such as Trello, Jira and clickup.
