Woocommerce + Authorize.Net: help to fix configuration issue that blocks automatic renewal payments

My ecommerce website is using Woocommerce and Authorize.NET as gateway
Everything works except automatic renewal payments - first payment is collected when customer makes an order, and recurring charges never happen (customer gets automated email asking to pay again manually).
That's not what I want. Payments should be processed automatically with no customer interaction.
